President Bush surely won’t be running out to the octoplex when “W.” opens tomorrow. But he should be happy that director Oliver Stone has cut him one break. Stone has Dubya pounding back Jack Daniels in his hard-partying youth, but he drew the line at claims that the future President snorted cocaine.

“We were not interested in proving he did coke,” Stone told us at Tuesday’s premiere. “By his own admission, he was excessive. So you don’t have to go to the edges.”

Stone does seem to buy into rumors that Bush, or someone acting on his behalf, arranged for a former Bush girlfriend to have an abortion. In one scene, George H.W. Bush, played by James Cromwell, chides his son, played by Josh Brolin, about a girl “shooting her mouth off about you knocking her up.” Poppy goes on to promise he’ll “take care” of the problem.

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt spent a lot of money trying to prove the abortion story, but couldn’t nail it down. Still, Stone feels the episode is factual, though he notes, “We never specify who the girl is.”

Stone goes out of his way in the psychologically probing movie to show Dubya’s determination to win the approval of his dad. “We tried to show the mind-set that led us,” he said. “A lot of people voted for him because he projected strength and still does.”

Though Stone portrays Bush as tongue-tied and out of his depth, some Democrats at the premiere felt the film goes too easy on him. “Look,” he argued, “there’s something about him that America identified with, and that’s why they voted for him. It’s not fair to jump on him now and say he was a complete failure.”

Richard Dreyfuss, who plays Dick Cheney, was less forgiving.

“He’s the worst President in the history of the country,” he told us. “I think the system didn’t work, and I think he escaped the bullet.”

Elizabeth Banks, who plays First Lady Laura Bush, said: “A lot of people ask why was she attracted to him. People aren’t always attracted to their equal. They’re attracted to their complement. Someone took out a picture of the young George Bush with his shirt off. He was a young buck. She wanted to [bleep]! It was the ’70s.”

Brolin admitted that he was ready to pass on the script when Stone first sent it “because of what I thought it would be. I was very wrong. The character, his humanity, was very important to me. … [The film] allows us to better educate ourselves on the last eight years – and hopefully, what not to do in the future.”

RUMORS of an explicit home video showing Christie Brinkley’s slimy hubby Peter Cook having sex with his curvy teen office worker Diana Bianchi have made the rounds for months, and now Page Six can reveal the truth – it does exist.

Yesterday, we were shown a series of stills from a video depicting Cook and Bianchi, both nude, having sexual intercourse on a brown love seat. They also show Bianchi performing a sizzling striptease down to a pair of black, G-string panties and then to her birthday suit as Cook holds his crotch.

Another shows Cook resting his head on Bianchi’s buttocks. It appears the tape was made at Cook’s Southampton architectural office without Bianchi’s knowledge. But other stills that are apparently not from the video show Bianchi willingly posing topless.

In July, Brinkley settled her nasty divorce with the philandering Cook – who detonated their 10-year marriage with his affair with then-18-year-old Bianchi – for just $2.1 million of her $60 million fortune. She also won full custody of their kids. Cook, who confessed to a $3,000-a-month online porn habit, doled out $300,000 to Bianchi in a legal settlement that kept her mum and prevented a likely sex-harassment lawsuit.

One theory why Cook settled for so little is that Brinkley found the pictures on his computer and used them as leverage. Brinkley’s lawyer Robert Cohen said: “Nothing about Peter Cook’s behavior shocks us. We don’t know anything about this tape. We never saw it and we never heard about it. Christie’s concern is for the sake of her children and she hopes this video is kept private.”

Bianchi’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said she may sue Cook over the video. “We are now going to review, and begin weighing our legal options, for Diana,” he told The Post’s Dan Mangan. Cook declined to comment, but a source close to him said: “He has no knowledge that any such material exists, but it is well known that Cook and Bianchi had a consensual affair, so anything is possible.”

After a long public battle with substance abuse, Minnelli is in an outpatient program at the Caron Foundation on East 58th Street. Earlier this week Minnelli, during a break, dropped in next door to have lunch with one of the foundation’s doctors in the private dining room at Club A Steak House. A rep for Minnelli said, “Liza proudly works on her sobriety every day. She’s in rehearsals for her Kay Thompson tribute at the Palace, which debuts Dec. 3, and was at the Caron Foundation for an alumni reunion meeting.”

A Left Coast source say Stevie Wonder’s Porter Ranch-area house went up in flames earlier this week. “Everything was destroyed – all of Stevie’s memorabilia, photos, musical instruments, history, clothing, furniture, everything,” said our source. “It’s all gone. It was his main residence and he is utterly devastated. Stevie’s had to put his tour and appearances on hold while he deals with this.” Wonder’s personal rep couldn’t be reached and a rep for his label, Universal Motown, declined to comment.

KEVIN COSTNER is set to become a dad again – his wife CHRISTINE BAUMGARTNER is pregnant with the couple’s second child.

The pair welcomed a son, Cayden Wyatt Costner, into the world in May, 2007. The actor has three grown-up children from his first marriage to childhood sweetheart Cindy Silva.

Costner wed designer Baumgartner in September 2004.

He recently told America’s Parade magazine he never thought he’d be starting a second family with Baumgartner – but had to agree to have kids with her before she’d marry him.

He said, “For years, fear kept me from marrying Christine. Christine wanted a child, but I was afraid I couldn’t be an effective father.

“She said, ‘I’m about children. If you want to be with me, if you want to get married, you should know that’s part of my make-up.’

“I woke up and thought, ‘Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say yes to a child?’ That’s all it took. I decided I was not going to miss out on love.”

DJ AM was back on the decks for the first time since surviving a fiery plane crash.

The visibly scarred celebrity disc jockey, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, joined Jay-Z at a special concert Wednesday celebrating the reopening of the Hollywood Palladium, the historic venue which once hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra, “The Lawrence Welk Show,” Led Zeppelin and the Emmy Awards on its more than 11,000-square-foot circular wooden floor.

The concert was 35-year-old DJ AM’s first performance since surviving a Sept. 19 plane crash with former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker at the main airport in Columbia, S.C.

Two pilots and two other passengers were killed, including Barker’s assistant, Chris Baker. After the crash, DJ AM received two skin-graft surgeries on his neck and arm.

Before Jay-Z appeared in front of the crowd Wednesday, DJ AM unceremoniously slipped onto stage alongside an eight-piece back-up band. He was lively throughout the concert – scratching, rapping along with Jay-Z and flashing hand gestures throughout the rap mogul’s energetic set. After “Show Me What You Got,” Jay-Z called attention to his “special guest.”

“Make some noise for DJ AM tonight,” Jay-Z said before also giving a shout out to Barker and the crash victims.

Many audience members clamored to see the packed show from VIP sections in the Palladium’s two balconies overlooking the main floor. After closing last year, the venue received a $20-million renovation and is being leased by the concert promotion company Live Nation. The makeover included restored chandeliers, several new exits and wheelchair ramps.

DJ AM is also scheduled to resume his residency at Caesars Palace’s Pure nightclub in Las Vegas next Tuesday.

Actor Ryan O’Neal and his son Redmond have both been charged with felony possession of methamphetamines TMZ reported on Wednesday.

Both men are scheduled to be arraigned on November 13 according to TMZ.

Ryan, 67, and Redmond, 24, were arrested on suspicion of meth possession at the star’s home in Malibu in September.

Authorities found Redmond in possession of the drug while a vial was discovered in Ryan’s bedroom, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times.

The police search was related to Redmond’s probation. He was arrested last year in Malibu on charges related to possession of heroin and meth while driving under the influence.

Ryan, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his starring role in 1970’s Love Story, was also arrested last year on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm during an argument with another son, Griffin. The actor claimed he only fired a warning shot.

Redmond’s mother is actress Farrah Fawcett.

With a million dollar divorce looming, Madonna couldn’t resist launching a thinly veiled attack on her soon to be ex husband Guy Ritchie as she took to the stage in Boston last night.

Before she sang ‘Miles Away’, which Madonna previously claimed was inspired by Ritchie, she told the audience: ‘This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. I know I do.’

The swipe was her only acknowledgment during the show of the split, which was confirmed earlier that day by her spokesperson.

The gig at the city’s Banknorth Garden was the 23rd concert of the Sticky & Sweet World Tour, which started in Cardiff in August and is expected to end in December.

Madonna cryptically announced to a New York concert audience on October 6: ‘In exactly 29 moves, the Queen will dump the King.’ She then had 29 more dates on her U.S. tour.

But in the light of yesterday’s announcement, it seems she simply could not wait that long.

The couple are now lining up for what could become the costliest divorce in British legal history.

After weeks of frenzied speculation, Madonna’s U.S. spokesman Liz Rosenberg yesterday released a statement: ‘Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven and a half years of marriage.

‘They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time. A final settlement has not been agreed upon yet.’

Madonna had been sending Guy messages their marriage was over months ago when she began moving some of their art collection, including a Dali and portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte by Jacques-Louis David from their London home to their New York residence.

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow spent the past few months desperately trying to convince her best friend Madonna not to separate from Guy Ritchie, MailOnline can reveal.

The 36-year-old believes Madonna and Guy, who announced the end of their nearly eight-year marriage today, should remain together for the sake of their three children.

Gwyneth is said to have advised her friend to think long and hard about the effects a divorce from the film director will have on Rocco, eight, adopted David Banda, two, and Lourdes, Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Gwyneth begged Madonna all summer not to be an idiot and let this marriage fall apart.’

Like Madonna, the Shakespeare In Love star is an American married to an Englishman, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and alternates her time between her homes in London and New York.

Gwyneth is also said to have developed a soft spot for toddler David and would be devastated to lose regular contact with him as well as with her best friend.

The source said: ‘Gwyneth is in love with that little boy and sees him several times a week while she’s in London, and she has as much at stake as anyone in seeing his parents stay together.

‘She just doesn’t think it’s possible that Madonna and Guy would hurt their children by splitting up, and says she has actively advised both of them to put their problems and their egos aside for the sake of the children.

‘But Madonna can be very hard-headed and treats Gwyneth like a younger sister. If Madonna goes through with a divorce it’s going to break Gwyneth’s heart and affect their friendship permanently.’

Adding to Gwyneth’s determination to keep her friends together is her belief that Guy is an excellent parent to the couple’s children.

The source said: ‘Gwyneth considers Madonna to be a very progressive parent, especially when it comes to keeping Lourdes tuned into her roots and encouraging her relationship with Carlos Leon.

‘That Guy has gone along with that is very impressive to Gwyneth, and just one other reason she the thinks they’re not going to divorce over any issue with the children, no matter how rough things get.’

The domesticated actress is also concerned she’ll lose contact with the fiercely independent Madonna once she’s single again.

‘Gwyneth loves being a mom and loves having Madonna as a confidant about marriage, motherhood and keeping a home together in the public eye,’ the source continued.

‘For those reasons alone, Madonna becoming single again is Gwyneth’s worst nightmare. Overnight, they’d go from having everything in common to almost nothing.

‘I don’t think their friendship could survive, especially if Madonna is the one who forces the split.’

However, despite the major upheavals in Madonna’s personal life, it’s unlikely the pop superstar will abandon London for good.

The source said: ‘No matter what happens, with Gwyneth’s help, Madonna has made a home in England, and she’s staying. She loves it there, and has more friends than reports have lead on. England is in her blood, and she won’t walk away from it even if her marriage goes south.

‘For Gwyneth’s part, if they break up, she’ll have to stay friends with Madonna and Guy because she loves those kids so much and Chris and Guy have a very solid friendship as well.’

Travis Barker has been released from the Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and is on his way back to Los Angeles. His rep issued this statement: “Travis is doing great and was discharged this morning. He has left Augusta.”

Travis and DJ AM were both admitted into the Joseph M. Still Burn Center nine days ago after a plane crash in South Carolina took the lives of 4 people. Travis suffered second and third degree burns to his torso and lower body. DJ AM was released from the hospital this past Friday.

A couple weeks ago, we heard that Christina Applegate was battling breast cancer. Well, she beat it! In an interview airing on “Good Morning America” tomorrow, Christina said, “I’m clear. Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I’m definitely not going to die from breast cancer.”

Christina said she underwent a double mastectomy, even though the cancer was detected it only one breast. She said, “My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy. So basically I had a prophylactic double mastectomies. I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made, and it was a tough one.” She chose not to undergo chemotherapy.

In an exclusive interview with In Touch, 28-year-old Kelli Dawson reveals that she and Casey, 19, were romantically involved — and were still sleeping together when Jamie Lynn, now 17, was six months pregnant with his child. No fleeting hookup, Casey and Kelli’s relationship was both real and lasting — and it grew in intensity, even as Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant. And, Kelli says, they still meet up on a regular basis. “I see him all the time, at least once a week,” she shares.

The pair first met in November 2006, at the home of her sister, Kim Toller. J.R., Bobby, Sue Ellen and other members of the Ewing clan are getting back together for a “Dallas” reunion party.

Cast members of the popular prime-time soap opera that ran from 1978-91 will return to the Southfork Ranch north of Dallas on Nov. 8 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show. Several key actors, including Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, have confirmed they will attend.

Hagman, who played central character J.R. Ewing, a scheming oil baron and cattle rancher, said he is looking forward to the event.

“I may not be able to do the 40th,” said Hagman, 76, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. “Thirty years is pretty good, and the show is still very popular.”

The reunion at the ranch in suburban Parker, north of Dallas, is open to the public. Tickets go on sale Aug. 22 and will cost between $100 and $1,000. The event will include fireworks, a country music concert, a question-and-answer session with the cast and tours of the mansion.

The show is perhaps best known for the “who shot J.R.?” cliffhanger that concluded the 1979-1980 season in which Hagman’s character was blasted within an inch of his life. (The shooter turned out to be J.R. Ewing’s sister-in-law, Kristin.)

“Dallas” featured the antics of a wealthy Texas clan that punched, slapped, drank, cavorted and schemed to gain control of the family fortune. The reunion promises to be tamer.

“Larry and I will have a bowl of Mueslix and a small shot of prune juice and be in bed by 9 o’clock,” Duffy, who played Bobby Ewing, told the newspaper. “We’ll let people file by the bed and watch us go to sleep. I think we can hang with the best of them until midnight.”

The funny bombshell has landed the cover of the men’s magazine for two reasons: She stars as a Playboy Bunny who moves into a sorority house in the upcoming comedy The House Bunny, and, well, she’s friggin’ hot!

But Faris, 31, wasn’t always so confident about her looks…

“I felt unattractive, short and self-conscious about my body, and I would purposely emphasize that by doing odd things,” she tells the magazine (it hits newsstands on Friday) about her teenage years. “I wore glasses, braces, odd hairdos and dumpy clothes…When I was a freshman I wore a Christmas-tree skirt as a cape. I couldn’t get any dates until senior year.”

While Faris doesn’t appear nude in Playboy, she actually told me recently she was definitely tempted to strip down for the mag.

“I felt really sexy,” she told me of the shoot. “I found myself totally getting into it. I was like, ‘Let’s just take it all off.’ ” (Her publicist convinced her otherwise.)

No surprise, but Faris wears body-bearing barely there outfits for most of the flick.

“I was working out hard,” Faris said about getting in shape for the flick. “My boyfriend was like, ‘Baby, you got to eat. You’re losing your butt.’ ”
The House Bunny is the first full-length feature allowed to shoot at Hugh Hefner’s legendary Playboy Mansion. “It was my first time there,” Faris said. “It was surreal. There were randomly placed jars of baby oil but no babies that I knew of…It was great: peacocks, monkeys, hot girls and old men in pajamas! It was awesome.”
