Aaron Carter has ended his engagement to model/actress Kari Ann Peniche - just nine days after proposing. The singer, 18, asked former Miss Teen USA and Playboy model Peniche, 22, to marry him on stage at the Playboy Hollywood Comedy Tour in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 19.

After Peniche accepted, the couple announced plans to wed in the next six months. However, Carter has now released a statement to magazine Us Weekly, admitting he is too young to marry.

He says, “I got caught up in the moment and proposed. I then realised it was a hasty thing to do and I am not ready for marriage quite yet.”

Peniche previously dated Carter’s older brother, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.

Johnny Knoxville has blasted Louisiana law officials for busting pal Willie Nelson on marijuana possession charges, insisting the country great should be given a pass to smoke pot. Nelson was cited for possession of marijuana and narcotic mushrooms after a Louisiana cop smelled trouble on the singer’s tour bus during a traffic stop last week.

And Knoxville admits he was appalled that police didn’t just let his pal drive on.

He says, “He gets arrested in Louisiana for weed? I mean if he’s not singing a benefit for Louisiana or for the farmers he’s singing a song about the city of New Orleans - and they bust him for weed? He should have rolling fields of marijuana to harvest at any time. Leave Willie alone, man… Let Willie smoke.”

(Rediscovering a ‘Lost Art’)

Phenomenal…that was the one word left in my mind as I walked out of the world-famous Viper Room on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip last night after having experienced Kim Kline’s live performance. I have been going to concerts for longer than I can remember; and in all of my years on ‘the scene,’ I have never been more blown away by any artist than I was with Kim Kline.

Kline sang straight from the bottom of her heart, pouring her soul out upon the crowd with every word that she delivered. I was stunned with the power with which she belted out her lyrics, which pulled upon every human emotion. Every song in the set, which I wish would never have ended, was even more memorable than the last. Finally, someone has brought back the idea of writing songs that are not only radio-friendly in nature but which also have actual substance to them; truly something that I thought was a lost art.

Kim Kline’s song “Sick Reality” is undoubtedly an instant classic! From the moment that the song descended upon the crowd, the room was bouncing. The chorus is such that it shall be left rocking through any listeners’ head for days. “Disagree” is also another personal favorite; a song which is so drenched with passion, both lyrically and musically, that I was left feeling as though I had experienced a whirlwind of emotion.

I was reminded of Slash’s classic, bluesy-rock guitar riffs as Wes Whitlatch wailed away on his guitar; each song’s soul pulsated with feeling in Shane Hayes’ amazing bass playing; and I was mesmerized by Trevor Stafford’s phenomenal work behind the drums. As a whole, Kim Kline’s band perfectly set the stage upon which she could properly display her true star power!

There is no doubt in my mind that Kim Kline shall be a dominant force upon the music scene for years and years to come!

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is set to join hip-hop star Jay-Z on stage in London next week.

The British rocker collaborated with Jay-Z on his new album Kingdom Come - and will now perform with the acclaimed rapper at Jay-Z’s London concert.

Jay-Z will be the first rapper to perform at the acclaimed Royal Albert Hall venue. He will be accompanied by a full 25-piece orchestra

Paris Hilton has come forward on a police tape an confessed a shocking truth - she isn’t that smart!!  I know you don’t believe that, but it is true.

But Hilton told investigators she was not a reliable witness, because she has a bad memory and isn’t clever.

The confession can be heard on an audio tape to be aired on “Dateline NBC.”

The sometime singer/actress says, “Like I really … I don’t remember. I’m not like that smart.

“I like forget stuff all the time.”

This just proves my point that being a stupid whore is more profitable than being an intelligent virgin.  I think we should all take a long hard look at that theory and see if we can get a government grant to pursue some serious research.  Who is with me?!?!?!?

Keith Richards appearance in the second Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel descended into chaos after he reportedly got so drunk on the movie set, the film’s director had to prop him up.

The hellraising Rolling Stones guitarist finally shot his long awaited cameo as Johnny Depp’s father in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’S End earlier this summer (06), but he is unlikely to remember the occasion which concluded months of speculation.

Bill Nighy, who plays Davy Jones in the film, tells Empire Online that Richards was inebriated by the time the production team retrieved him from his trailer to shoot his scene, and he required a little support from director Gore Verbinski.

The 62-year-old rocker is reported to have remarked, “If you wanted straight, then you got the wrong man”.

Think back to when you were a kid and you had to beg your folks for a new pair of cool sneakers and they told you that your poor grades would cost you that scholarship for college.  Matt LeBlanc’s kid isn’t going to have to worry about any of those things.

Calling LeBlanc a “high-wage earner,” however, the court ordered the actor to fork over $15,000 a month in child support for the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Marina, and ruled that Dad was 100 percent responsible for any future private school tuition, uninsured medical expenses, nanny services and Marina’s college fund.

This is ridiculous!  What does a kid need $15,000 a month for?  I mean I can adopt like a 100 third world children, feed them, dress them, get them an education, and receive a letter every month for like $36 a month.   Unless they are already planning for serious drug rehab and therapy for that kid they should limit it to public school and shopping at Marshalls.

Britney Spears is getting geared up to make her comeback and to start she is gonna dance of all the baby weight she put on during her latest pregnancy.

A friend said, “She wants to dance her way back to shape by hiring a studio. It’s more fun than the gym.”

She could try to work it off lip syncing, but i don’t think that really works up much of a sweat, unless of course the tap gets screwed up during a performance.  K-Fed should be an amazing inspiration with all the work he has put into his own career.  That should show her what putting your mind to something can truly accomplish.

British actor Rupert Everett is so paranoid about losing his hair, he has sacrificed his ability to have children to maintain his locks. The star fears his family’s trend for baldness will affect him, so he takes medication to prevent it - but it has the unfortunate side effect of killing his sperm count.

And openly gay Everett insists his hair is far more important to him. He says, “It means I don’t have any sperm left. If I stop taking the pills, all my hair will fall out, but I would rather have hair than sperm.”

Prosecutors charged actor Lou Diamond Phillips on Thursday with domestic battery in connection with an incident last month involving his live-in girlfriend.

Phillips, best known for his roles in “La Bamba” and “Stand and Deliver,” could face a maximum of one year in jail and a $2,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor charge. His arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 18.

According to police reports, the 44-year-old actor got into an argument with his girlfriend, and it escalated into a physical fight in the early hours of Aug. 11. His girlfriend, who was not identified in court documents, “was pushed and dragged across the house resulting in scrapes to both knees,” City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said in a statement.

The woman grabbed a phone, locked herself in a bathroom and dialed 9-1-1, Delgadillo said. Phillips was arrested and held for about 10 hours before being released.

A message left for Phillips’ publicist, Eddie Michaels, was not immediately returned. It was not immediately known whether Phillips had retained a lawyer.

In recent years, Phillips has made a number of guest appearances on TV, including “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “24.”

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is officially single again after obtaining a speedy divorce decision in Los Angeles County Superior Court yesterday.

The actor represented himself in court as he set about ending his three year marriage to estranged wife Melissa McKnight.

In court documents, obtained by website Tmz.com, the former couple will share custody of their two year-old daughter Marina, while LeBlanc has agreed to pay for all the child’s future private school tuition fees, medical costs, the services of a nanny, and his daughter’s college expenses.

The court declared the actor is a “high-wage earner,” and will pay $15,000 aa-month in child support.

The couple signed a prenuptial agreement before they wed in 2003, in which McKnight waived her right for future spousal support, based on a cash amount she received.
