Will you pay $13.5 Million for the Federline’s house?

Source: www.celebridiot.com

Britney has put the house she shared with her wonderful husband of 2 years up for grabs.

Spears officially put the formidable property on the market on Jan. 18 with an asking price of $13.5 million-half of which could potentially line Federline’s cargo pockets.

The profit could be sizable for Spears as well. The 25-year-old mother of two plunked down a comparatively paltry $6.9 million for the exclusive address in 2004, shortly after making official her union with the “PopoZao” mastermind.

The exciting part of this sale will be trying to find any hidden treasures left behind by the pair.  Perhaps a dirty wife beater tank top, a pair of flip flops, or some partially chewed gum.  The CSI crew will be doing a walk through with their black light to determine exactly what parts of the house will have to be burned or decontaminated.  I bet the floors are sticky!

Isaiah Washington Released From Rehab Already

Source: www.celebritymound.com

Troubled Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington has been released from a rehabilitation facility after a week of counselling for his repeated use of a homophobic slur.

The star, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on the hit series, is expected to return to the set tomorrow.

Washington, who will continue to receive outpatient counseling, caused an altercation on the show’s set in October when he used a homosexual slur to refer to cast member T.R. Knight.

He stirred up the controversy once again during a Golden Globes press conference when he used the term again while talking about the incident.

Liz Taylor Still Haunted By Pet Chipmunk’s Chocolate Death

Source: www.celebritymound.com

Elizabeth Taylor “almost died” when she discovered her beloved pet chipmunk had overdosed on chocolate.

The animal-loving movie icon captured the “critter” she called Nibbles in Washington when she was 13 and looked after him for five years - even taking him to California with her.

The young Taylor let her “buddy” run free and was devastated when her pet died after eating itself through half an Easter egg.

She tells Interview magazine, “I had left a big chocolate Easter egg, opened, way up on top of a wardrobe at a house we were renting on the beach. I came charging into my room to get some dry clothes. The minute I came into the room, I’d always hear a clatter from wherever he (Nibbles) was swinging, and he’d come running up my leg. But there was no sound, there was nothing. I looked up at the wardrobe and there was the chocolate Easter egg, half gone, and there was Nibbles, dead, lying beside it with his little feet up in the air. I almost died myself. Just like chocolate is deathly bad for dogs, it is awful for all kinds of animals.”

ABOUT ELISABETH WITHERS
It all starts with the voice. A soulful instrument that is both powerful yet strikingly vulnerable; an engaging gift that transcends musical genres and industry trends. For acclaimed singer/performer Elisabeth Withers, that voice and a fierce spirit garnered her a prestigious Tony Award nomination for her role as the seductive scene-stealer Shug Avery in the Broadway mega-hit The Color Purple. Now the Joliet, Illinois-born singer/songwriter is set to release her debut solo album It Can Happen To Anyone on the legendary Blue Note Records.

”My music is a reflection of my life,” says a matter-of-fact Elisabeth. “Through my work, I want people to know that with a strong self-love, work ethic and fearlessness, anything is possible.” Indeed, It Can Happen To Anyone makes its case for the Berklee School of Music and NYU graduate. It is uplifting and honest but it is also sensuous and passionate and at times seriously sexy, unpredictable and just plain infectious.

Fans of Elisabeth Withers’ Broadway work will be taken aback by the impressive range of her album, which mines everything from R&B, gospel and pop to old school cabaret and rock. Not surprising when you consider Elisabeth loves both Millie Jackson and Sheryl Crow.

The title track finds Elisabeth warning the object of her affection over a funked-up groove with such bold proclamations as, “When you are born until ya grow old, somewhere it’s blowing in the wind. Love don’t care because it comes on, it’s own time!” The church inflected track “Simple Things,” showcases Elisabeth’s deep timbre vocals as she encourages listeners to see the beauty in everyday life. “The World Ain’t Ready” showcases its message of female empowerment over an infectious reggae dancehall rhythm. And on the warm love letter feel of “Heartstrings,” she coos of a love that makes you “want to scream like Tina,” and “shine like the brightest star.”

At first glance, music seemed like an unlikely path for a young and confident Elisabeth. Raised in a middle class, Midwest household, where her mother excelled as a mathematical engineer and her father was a political powerbroker, an interest in anything remotely resembling the arts might have raised eyebrows. Luckily Withers, her sister and two brothers were supported by parents who created a loving environment where individuality was as much a premium as a discipline. At five-years-old, Elisabeth began singing along to her parents’ record collection.

”All of my brothers, including my dad, would laugh at me,” she muses. “Just picture a little me belting out some Natalie Cole or Gladys Knight over dinner, veins popping out of my neck, trying to reach all of these notes” it was too funny. But I remember my mom would get angry and say, “You guys will not laugh at your sister. She’s going to sing!”

Elisabeth saw the meaning of sacrifice first hand as mom placed her professional life on hold to raise the kids while her father worked extra hard to make sure all four kids had everything they needed to excel. By her early teens, performing at talent shows and social engagements had become the norm. The gifted singer saw her exceptional talents garner notice when, in 1993, she received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Four years later, Elisabeth did what virtually every aspiring singer-songwriter has done since the dawn of the jazz age: She set out to conquer New York. By the time she graduated NYU in 2000, Withers had caught the attention of respected producer, arranger and songwriter Tony Moran (Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross).

A string of studio back-up sessions followed as Elisabeth began to cultivate a reputation as a first-rate vocalist; so much so that Moran recruited her to co-write the dance club classic “Rising” (2002), a track that reached the top 5 on the Billboard charts. Elisabeth Withers was now going under the diva alias Elle Patrice. Another hit single followed “Emotions”, and in 2005 Elisabeth received a call from industry friend and music legend Nick Ashford, who suggested the vocalist audition for the Oprah Winfrey-produced stage adaptation of The Color Purple. She was more than up for the challenge as she won over producers Quincy Jones and Winfrey. Elisabeth’s triumphant run on Broadway soon attracted the interest of record labels. With its rich musical heritage and underlining focus on the art, Blue Note was the perfect home.

“I’ve never been afraid to try anything. I guess that’s why I’ve had a chance to try so many different things,” Elisabeth says of her budding career. “The values that my parents taught me growing up allowed me to go into any situation, from being asked to sing for Paul McCartney to doing “The Color Purple” on Broadway in front of someone as iconic as Oprah and to recording an album for Blue Note, having an album of songs that I actually had the chance to write. It’s been a wild ride and a humbling experience.”

“I hope people will listen to the songs on the album and come away with the feeling that I have, which is why I called the album It Can Happen To Anyone. For that is truly what I believe.”

Paris sues to shut down site dedicated to her

Source: www.celebridiot.com

I never thought I would see Paris suing someone to shut down a site dedicated to her.  Paris is suing to have Parisexposed.com closed down because she feels it’s an invasion privacy.

The lawsuit alleged that defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid more than $2,700 for the contents of the storage unit and later sold the items for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created ParisExposed.com

Hilton’s publicist said that in addition to shutting down the Web site, she would like all of the items returned to her.

So let me see if I understand this story.  Paris stores scandalous personal items in a storage shed, claims she wasn’t responsible for paying the bill, was notified of the auction and did nothing about it, and finally has her life exposed for $2,700? No Paris feels that she was wronged somehow? Does she not know that the contents of the site are everywhere and will never go away so if she were smart she should split the profits from the site and promote it herself!

Mike Tyson Joins Lindsay Lohan In Rehab

Former boxing champ Mike Tyson has checked into the same exclusive rehab facility where Lindsay Lohan is currently being treated for drug and alcohol addiction.

The 40-year-old reportedly checked himself into the Wonderland Center this past weekend in the Hollywood Hills.

Tyson was arrested last year in Arizona on suspicion of drink driving and felony drug possession after he nearly crashed into a police vehicle shortly after leaving a nightclub.

He admitted to an officer at the time of his arrest that he was a drug addict and had a problem.

According to sources, Tyson has already started attending outpatient “meetings” around Los Angeles, which is allowed during his treatment at the facility.

Last April, the former heavyweight champ checked into the posh Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona, but lasted just five days at the strict treatment center.

Keith Urban to Hit the ‘SNL’ Stage

Source: www.celebritymound.com

Keith Urban, who recently completed his treatment for alcohol abuse, will be the musical guest when Forest Whitaker hosts NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 10.

The 39-year-old country singer, who has publicly acknowledged a former addiction to cocaine, entered the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., on Oct. 19, forcing him to delay the tour and promotional appearances for his latest album, “Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing.”

He said he decided to stay three months because he realized that learning to abstain was only part of the recovery process.

Whitaker, 45, is nominated for a best-actor Oscar for his role as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in “The Last King of Scotland.” He has starred in such films as “The Crying Game” and “Good Morning, Vietnam,” and on TV’s “The Shield.”

He also directed the movies “Waiting to Exhale” and “Hope Floats.”

Police Want ‘Prison Break’ Star Charged

Source: www.celebritymound.com

“Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison should be charged with felony gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs for a solo car crash that killed a teenage passenger and injured two others, police said Wednesday.

Police Chief David L. Snowden said investigators have also asked county prosecutors to charge Garrison, 26, with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators recommended that the DUI allegation carry the enhancement that he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more. An adult driver in California is legally over the limit at 0.08 percent.

Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney, said the police report was under review but no decision had been made on whether to file charges.

Garrison’s Land Rover jumped a curb and struck a tree on Dec. 2, killing 17-year-old Beverly Hills High School student Vahagn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old girls who were also in the vehicle.

Garrison’s attorney, Harland Braun, had no immediate comment.

Snowden said Garrison had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent. After the crash, police said, the actor volunteered to submit a blood sample and analysis of it found he also had cocaine in his system.

Police were waiting to hear from the district attorney’s office before making an arrest.

If charged and convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter, Garrison, a Dallas native who plays “Tweener” on the Fox drama, could face up to 10 years in prison.

Braun has said previously that Garrison met the youths at a grocery store and accompanied them to a party, where he had one drink. He told the Los Angeles Times that Garrison didn’t remember anything about the accident after waking up in a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

The Garrison case marked the second time this week that crash investigators have asked for charges against a Hollywood celebrity in a traffic death.

On Monday, the California Highway Patrol recommended to the Los Angeles city attorney that actress-singer Brandy, 27, be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter for freeway chain-reaction crash that killed a woman motorist in December.

Kiefer Sutherland’s toy torture

Source: www.celebritymound.com

Kiefer Sutherland sabotaged the release of his own action figure after setting fire to the prototype on a drunken night out.

The toy, which is modelled on Kiefer’s ‘24′ character Jack Bauer, will hit the shops later this year, but would have been out much sooner if the actor hadn’t destroyed the original doll during a rowdy night out with friends.

Kiefer told the National Enquirer magazine: “They tried to come out with one a couple of years ago and they sent it to me for my approval. advertisement

“We took the doll for out a night to have some fun and we’d had some drinks. We sat it on the corner of the table.

“We started torturing him around 11pm and by 2am we set him on fire in the parking lot.

“We got up the next day and there was just this puddle of wax. His clothes didn’t burn, which I thought was pretty cool.

“Then I got a call the next day saying, ‘Did you like the doll?’ I said, ‘Yeah, it was great.’ And they said, ‘Well OK, good, you’ve got to send it back to us because that was a prototype. It took the guy a year to make it.’

“I said, ‘Well, let me look for it, I think I left it in the trailer.’

“This went on for about a week and then I had to just come clean.”

AskMen.com Readers Name Beyoncé Knowles the Most Desirable Woman of 2007

Source: www.celebritymound.com

Tally of More Than 8.5 Million Online Votes Designates the Top “Fantasy Girlfriends”
Budweiser Select Signs on for Second Year as Presenting Sponsor of the Annual Feature

AskMen.com, the Internet’s #1 lifestyle site for men and one of the premier sites in the Fox Interactive Media (FIM) network, today unveiled its 7th annual Top 99 Most Desirable Women list, brought to readers by returning sponsor Budweiser Select. AskMen.com readers cast a record number of online votes this year - more than 8.5 million - to name the women who best embody the qualities of a “fantasy girlfriend.” Beyoncé Knowles, the famous singer turned actress, is the #1 Most Desirable Woman of 2007. Screen star Scarlett Johansson is the runner-up and actress Jessica Alba, last year’s #1 Most Desirable Woman, rounds out the top three. The remaining top ten include Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, actress Jessica Biel, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, Latin American pop singer Shakira, “Access Hollywood” host Maria Menounos, actress and U.N. Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie and actress Elisha Cuthbert. Readers can view the full Top 99 list as well as profiles and pictures of each woman at http://www.askmen.com.

“It’s great to be a part of a list that is shared by so many influential women. Thanks to all
the readers of AskMen.com.”
Alessandra Ambrosio, Number 6

Unlike other lists, the Top 99 Most Desirable Women list is determined by AskMen.com readers, not just an editorial staff. Every year, voters from all over the world are asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty to pick women who have the characteristics they value in a potential companion, like intelligence, humor, charisma and ambition. The result is a list far more telling than the common “Most Sexy” or “Most Beautiful” lists published elsewhere.

“It is great to make the Top 99 three years running! I love that real men put me in the Top 99. Thank you so much.”
Eva Longoria, Number 17

Since launching in 2001, the Top 99 Most Desirable Women list has earned a reputation for naming #1 women who soon after experience career landmarks. Jessica Alba, 2006’s Most Desirable Woman, will release seven movies in 2007, and Adriana Lima, 2005’s Most Desirable Woman, subsequently became one of Victoria Secret’s banner models. Charlize Theron, 2003’s Most Desirable Woman, went on to win her first Academy Award the following year.

“The diverse group of women on this list reflects the diversity of our own readers,” said James Bassil, Editor-in-Chief of AskMen.com. “Even though most of our readers are in the U.S., the women on this list are from Brazil, India, Mexico and lots of places in between. Whether they’re known for singing, modeling, acting or sports, there is a common thread: These women offer more than meets the eye.”

Now in its seventh year, the Top 99 Most Desirable Women list of 2006 drew a record number of visitors to AskMen.com. This year, readers continued the momentum by casting more than 8.5 million votes over six weeks, the most votes ever.

Miss USA Tara Conner is out of rehab, but Donald Trump and the Miss Universe Organization are keeping a tight leash on her. Friends say the beauty queen has moved from her Trump Tower pad to a bigger apartment farther uptown, which she now shares with a chaperone. “She is not allowed to go to clubs anymore,” dished the spy, “and she has a lot of new rules for going out.” A spokesperson for Miss USA said, “Plans to move to a bigger apartment with a chaperone have been in the works for months, and Tara is free to go wherever she wants.”

Sacha Baron Cohen Sued Again

Source: www.celebritymound.com

British funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen is facing another legal battle over his character Borat Sagdiyev - this time from an Israeli comedian who alleges he stole his signature line.

Dovale Glickman intends to sue the Golden Globe Award winner for copyright infringement, accusing him of stealing the phrase “Wa wa wee wa”, which he says belongs to him.

Baron Cohen has already been sued by southern conservatives in the US, college fraternity members and Romanian villagers who claim they were duped into appearing in hit film Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.

The Israeli comedian claims he coined Borat’s phrase 16 years ago for a character on the hit Israeli comedy show Zehu Zeh and even used the expression in a series of TV commercials for the Israeli yellow pages.

He states the phrase became popular all over the country and is still commonly heard on the street in Israel.
