DAD-of-the-year Michael Lohan is trying to get a celebrity weekly to help him with child-support payments if it turns out he’s the father of 13-year-old Ashley Kaufmann. Lohan has approached both OK! and People magazines with the offer of his exclusive story, should paternity tests prove he’s her biological father. “He’s approaching everyone to get the highest bid because, if he is the dad, he’s going to need the money for back child support,” said an insider. The tweenster’s mother, Kristi Kaufmann, claims she and Lohan had an affair in 1995 when he was separated from then-wife Dina Lohan. The asking price for Michael’s story is in the $20,000 range, but it sounds like both weeklies are passing on the offer. “Nobody wants to buy DNA results,” our source scoffed. A rep for People denied Lohan had approached the mag, and a rep for OK! said, “We’re not interested.”

Photos of the 13-year-old cutie who could be Lindsay Lohan’s half-sister have finally been released. And the resemblance is striking.
From her freckles to her smile, Ashley Kaufmann certainly looks like she could be a member of the Lohan family.

Michael Lohan has revealed he took a DNA test to find out whether he is the father of the Montana teen.

Lohan admitted he had a fling with Ashley’s mom, 44-year-old Montana massage therapist Kristi Kaufmann, in 1995, when he was separated from Lindsay’s mom, Dina.

“I’ve seen pictures and, to tell the truth, there are similarities with Linds,” Michael Lohan told the Daily News last week. But now he has been backing off from embracing the possible new member of the Lohan clan, saying he is unsure whether Ashley is his.

Lohan has gone so far as to say he will sue Kaufmann for libel and defmation if the test results come back negative that he is Ashley’s father.

Lohan also says that he will not force his daughters with Dina, Lindsay and Ali, to have any kind of relationship with their possible sibling.
Results from the DNA test should be back within two weeks.

Michael Lohan is confident he’s not facing his very own parent trap.

Lindsay Lohan’s dad tells E! News he provided a DNA sample for a paternity test this morning and is now convinced that the results will shoot down a woman’s claim that he fathered a daughter with her while he was separated from ex-wife Dina Lohan.

On Friday, the 48-year-old Lohan patriarch acknowledged having sexual relations on two occasions with Kristi Kauffman, a woman he met in Houston in the mid-’90s.

He said he initially believed Kauffman’s claims that her daughter, Ashley, was his, but now Lohan says the math doesn’t make sense.

“We were together in July of ‘94. I think it was just before The Parent Trap came out because that’s when Dina and I were separated,” he tells E! News. “[Kristi] left me and went to Houston, Texas, and she met a guy she lived with there for a year.”

According to his time line, Lohan says, Ashley, now 13, was born in June 1995—a difference of 11 months—which is why he ran out to get this test done right away.

“She had me so convinced. She had me snowballed,” he says, adding that he even communicated with the girl he believed was Lindsay’s secret sis by telephone, even helping her with her homework.

“Here I was sitting in jail going through a divorce, felt like I had no hope and then someone sends me a letter and says I have a baby. And I thought maybe this is what I’m supposed to do next,” he says.

The results of the paternity test will be ready in 10-12 days and should settle the matter, he says.

If he is proven to be Ashley’s father, he tells E! News he is prepared to make good, and will finally have a face-to-face with her.

“Then I’ll sit down and meet with my kids. Let my kids decide if they want to meet her and when,” he adds.

On Friday, Kauffman, a 44-year-old massage therapist, told E! News that Lohan promised “to do for Ashley what he did for Lindsay’s career, the whole thing,” but then had second thoughts.

“He was supposed to take a paternity test seven years ago , but he disappeared off the face of the earth,” she said. “I just want this to be resolved and the truth to be told.”

IT takes a lot to separate Lindsay Lohan from her constant companion, Samantha Ronson - but if anyone can do it, it’s her obsessive father, Michael Lohan.

Wednesday night, Michael showed up at the Peninsula Hotel, where Ronson was deejaying a men.style.com party. “Michael found out where Lindsay was going to be and went to find her,” a source said. “She was really freaked out by it because she has no interest in seeing her father.”
Hotel spies say Lindsay checked in with Ronson on Tuesday, but by Wednesday afternoon, before the party started, she had cleared out, possibly after learning her father was on his way.

“Michael was staking out the lobby and waiting for Lindsay to make an appearance,” said our source. “It was freaky. He was sitting on the steps and texting like mad, and looking very upset that she hadn’t arrived.”

While Sam was partying with the likes of Arden Wohl, Eleanor Ylvisaker and Tara Subkoff, Lindsay was a no-show. Friends say she instead had dinner with her “Living Lohan” reality-star family, Dina and Ali. Lindsay’s rep had no comment.

Yesterday, Lindsay lunched at Gino on Lexington Avenue with gal pal Ronson and Ronson’s mother, Ann Dexter Jones.

Meanwhile, viewers of E!’s “Living Lohan” were disturbed by the scene in the first episode where Dina is at her computer watching a sex tape of a Lindsay look-alike, when Ali, 14, walks in and asks, “Is that Lindsay?”

“Last time I checked, allowing a child to watch porn is against the law,” one viewer commented on GlossLip.com. Another asked on Trashwire.com, “Does anyone besides me think it’s weird that Dina showed her daughter [such images]?”

Pat Truman, the former Justice Department chief of the child exploitation and obscenity section, told Page Six: “It’s inappropriate but probably not illegal. If there was a situation where a mother was regularly exposing her child to pornography, it would be a concern for state child welfare agencies.”

Soooooo, you want a comment on the first episode of Living Lohan?

Well, let’s see… If I were to look at things from a wordly perspective, I would probably have a lot to say about exploitation, hypocrisy and even deception — and maybe at a later date, I might just do so.

For now, let’s just say I’m still trying to figure out if this show is about managing Ali’s career and being a “real” mother, or reading tabloids.

I’ve had a sneak peek at some future episodes and I will say that some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me — again, I can address that when they appear on the show. I just hope Dina takes the high road — like a Lohan would — and rights these wrongs.

If this show is about the being a mother and a manager, the most important thing is to set a good example by instilling positive values, and doing what’s right for the kid’s sake. Not for our own!

I wish Ali, Cody and Dina the best on the show and pray that they get what they want out of it.

MORE surprised than anyone that Dina Lohan was honored as a “top mom” this week was her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, who called the award from the Mingling Moms Organization “a joke.”

Michael fumed, “Are you kidding! Top celebrity mom? Look at her off-screen antics, her lack of morals and how she conducts herself. I guess they forgot to mention how this top super-mom leaves her kids alone at night and even parties in their presence. Just wait until we go back to court.

“She comes stumbling out of Butter at 3:15 a.m. with bloodshot eyes and a red runny nose, yelling ‘Oh, [bleep],’ when she saw the paparazzi,” Michael raged to Page Six.

He also ranted that his ex missed their weekly family therapy appointment in order to attend the award ceremony Tuesday night in Bethpage, LI.
But Dina responded to Michael’s remarks by calling him “infantile.”

“He’s a loose cannon,” she declared. “We speak to a therapist once a week and I’m not required to be there. My kids want me there, so I go. Obviously with our [TV] show and the event, [daughter] Ali and I reschedule.

“I’ve allowed him visitation once a week, so I don’t understand why he’s doing this. He’s jealous that I got the award. He even called the organizers and tried to talk them out of giving it to me.”

Dina fears that Michael will now try to contact her directly. She says she has a restraining order against him until 2011 she thinks he’ll violate.
“He’s using the media to talk to me,” Dina said. “I’m getting nervous. Lindsay came to town two weeks ago and wanted security guys there in case he showed up. His parole officer needs to see what he’s doing and realize that he cannot address me directly or indirectly. He wears a tracking device and they’ll know if he comes anywhere near me. He’s on a mission to destroy me.”

But it turns out he’s got his own show he’s trying to sell. “He wants to do a male version of ‘The View’ with [fellow born-again pal] Stephen Baldwin. It’s not likely to happen.” Sadly, Michael’s idea isn’t that original - Dick Clark, Mario Lopez and Danny Bonaduce hosted “The Other Half” for two years before it was canceled due to low ratings.

MICHAEL Lohan is a heartless, two-timing louse, says a sexy Long Island divorcee who claims she had an “intimate, loving relationship” with Lindsay Lohan’s ex-con dad for the past four months, only to find out this week he had another girlfriend.

“I’m really hurt. I fell in love with this man. Then I find out he has someone else,” Virginia Bertolino, 41, a real estate broker for Century 21 in Jericho and mother of three daughters, told Page Six.

“We met in family court on June 25, and ever since we had been dating. We spent the Fourth of July on the beach near the Crescent Club in Bayville. It was very hot and heavy, and I saw him almost every day in the beginning. We fell in love - there was ‘I love you’ and everything. He told me that he was going to change my life. He’s very sexual, I thought we had great sex. Sex is very important with him.”

But this week, Michael began crowing about his new girlfriend Erin, a Lindsay look-alike, and pictures of them surfaced in Utah, where he was visiting his rehabbing daughter. Bertolino (pictured) said, “I spoke to him just before he left for Utah and everything seemed fine - and then this.”
She says she was particularly jolted because Michael has become an ordained minister. “When he was melancholy once, I asked him, ‘Is there someone else in your life?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Who is that?’ and he said, ‘God.’ He betrayed me.

“My friends met him, my parents met him. I know his mother likes me, his sister likes me. What are they going to say now? When we first met, I knew he was Lindsay Lohan’s dad and that was a little exciting, but I’m not a user. I’m a responsible woman in the community . . . What kind of game is he playing? I want the whole world to know about him.”

Michael told us yesterday that Bertolino is “a friend of mine,” and admitted he met her family. But he vehemently denied having sex with her and then went on the attack: “I never went out with Virginia Bertolino. This woman is a liar. She’s neurotic.”

Does Michael Lohan’s girlfriend, Erin, look familiar? She should. She’s a dead ringer for his 21-year-old actress daughter, Lindsay.

The look-alikes met for the first time at the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center in Utah, where Lindsay had been a patient since late July. The actress checked out of the center on October 5, but will continue to receive treatment from the facility as an out-patient.

“She loved my girlfriend Erin,” Michael tells Us. “They bonded immediately.”

Michael brought his new flame along for a visit after asking Lindsay for permission first. “We all stayed in the same house together. We had dinner, coffee, went shopping. We spent all of our time together.

Erin is a licensed insurance agent as well as a licensed esthetician.

“She’s very intelligent,” Michael adds.

The couple of four months met at a coffee bar in Huntington, Long Island, where Michael, a born-again Christian, was having a cappuccino with a pastor.

“She started talking to the pastor I was with,” he says. “She had no idea I was Lindsay’s dad or anything.. I was just a guy at the other end of the bar.”

You read it right, Lindsay Lohan has check herself out of rehab! Blohan checked herself out of Rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah today according to People Magazine.

About a week ago Blohan’s father, Michael Lohan came for a visit and has been with her ever since. One source said: “Lindsay is done, but she may come back for outpatient treatment. She over-extended her stay because she wanted to. She could have been out awhile ago, but she chose to stay.“

I was going to say Dina Lohan will be on the horn in no time explaining publicly how proud she is and shit like but I jumped the gun. Reading on, she has already made a statement to People Mag today: “I’m proud of her. She’s moving ahead with her life. Things were getting out of control. She took action. She took responsibility. She really needed to heal.“

Hi david this is ali lohan, i want everybody to know the truth out there. My mom is a single mom of four children she has always been there for us, she was my mother and father and still is. My father is telling all lies to people and saying he was such a great dad and was always there for us, my father was never there for us, My mom was always there souporting us. i think that the whole reason why my sister is upset with her self and not as cofident, is because of my dad not being around, and always staying out late and not coming home for days, he would come back home never himself, he was always was making excuses for his bad behavior . Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan were in court today to try and reach terms on the custody of the two youngest Lohan kids, Ali and Cody. Mike is fresh out of jail and wants to re-kindle his relationship with Lindsay Lohan’s brother and sister.
