Eva Longoria Parker’s boss has spilled the beans!

“Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with [husband] Tony Parker,” Desperate Housewives’ creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

“After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call,” he added.

The 33-year-old actress is getting a practice pregnancy run at work.

“Gaby is having a very tough time being the mother of two overweight, hyperactive children,” Cherry revealed of the show’s next season, which advances five years. “But Eva is having a marvelous time playing her!”

The Parkers wed last year.

In a 2007 interview with Le Parisien newspaper, Tony Parker said he was eager to have children as quickly as possible.

“That would be even better than my NBA titles, even if I don’t compare private life and sports,” he said. “Eva talks to me about it all the time. I’d like to have girls, because I come from a world of boys.”

This is the moment Hungarian weightlifter Janos Baranyai’s first Olympics ended in agony when he dislocated his right elbow in the ugliest moment yet of the Olympic weightlifting competition.

Baranyai was trying to snatch 148kg in his third lift in the men’s 77kg division, when his elbow popped out of its socket.

No longer able to support the weight of the barbell, his right forearm bent backward. The 24-year-old Hungarian fell to the floor in shock, shaking and crying out in pain.

Hungary’s coaching staff and competition officials rushed to Baranyai’s aid as he lay trembling on the floor, his arm limp and twisted out of position.

Baranyai was carried off the platform on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment, said Benny Johansson, a technical controller at the event.

It was not immediately clear how serious the injury was.

It looked really awful,’ Johansson said. ‘If the ligaments are damaged then it could take several months to heal.”

He said elbow and knee injuries are the most common injuries in the sport, ‘but the number of injuries are quite small in comparison with the number of athletes. You cannot even compare it with football for example.’

A former judo wrestler from Oroszlany, Hungary, Baranyai was competing with the so-called B-group of lifters in the 77kg division.

Hungary’s lone lifter in the Olympics, he was ninth in both the snatch and clean and jerk in the European Championship earlier this year and placed 33rd in last year’s world championship.

He cleared his first snatch attempts at 140kg and 145kg before loading up the bar at 148kg – a relatively modest weight in top-level competition. The world record in the snatch is 173kg.

In the snatch, the bar is pulled overhead in one continuous motion as the lifter settles into a squat, then rises with arms extended.

Baranyai was in the squat position when his elbow popped.

The event attracted a slew of stars such as Paris and Nicky Hilton, Matthew Perry, Brody Jenner, Jenny McCarthy and Hef’s 83-year-old pal Tony Curtis, but for the first time some ultra-eager party peeps were able to pre-purchase tickets and buy their way inside.

We have been told by numerous inside sources that this is the last time bunnies and big-wigs will hop around the Shakespeare-themed party.

After decades and decades of wild nights, we hear Hef is calling it a day and that Playboy Enterprises has decided that this party and the upcoming annual Halloween party will be the last that the magazine mogul personally throws as a means to cut costs.

A rep from the men’s mag kept mum on the murmurs, saying: “Who knows what will happen in a year from now?”

But if you haven’t had the experience of visiting the infamous grotto and mini-zoo outside of the “Girls Next Door,” it’s not too late. We’re told the mansion is still going to be rented out for private parties with companies paying big bucks to spend a few hours amid a little slice of Hollywood history.

Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now, that the young star of Living Lohan flaunted what looked like overnight curves at a Jonas Brothers concert in East Hampton, NY on August 9.

Just three months earlier, a flatter Lohan hit Fuse for a taping of The Sauce in NYC.

Lohan accidentally auditioned for a porn director on the season finale of her reality show last month.

“Ali obviously had no idea about [director Peter Davy’s] past,” her rep told Us. “If she did know, she never would have auditioned for him.”

Lohan has long sought fame.

“I want it so bad,” she told Teen Vogue earlier this year. “So bad you don’t even know. And now, it’s actually happening. I’ve already been asked for my autograph, and it’s just a really good feeling to have.”

THIS is the orphan whom Malawian officials say pop goddess MADONNA is “on the very cusp” of adopting.

Madge originally scrapped her year-long battle for three-year-old Mercy James just four months ago as her marriage to British film director GUY RITCHIE, 39, hit the rocks.

But officials yesterday confirmed the star has resumed her adoption bid — which pals say proves their marriage is “back on track”.

Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe said: “Madonna’s representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced — all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities.

“Then Mercy will be able to leave the country for a new life.”

Pals of Madonna, who turns 50 on Saturday, say she is keen to have a sister for her adopted Malawian son David Banda, three — and feels her marriage is again strong enough to cope.

A close family friend revealed: “The adoption process in Malawi is so long and stressful that all the legal wrangling put a huge strain on their marriage.

“They dropped proceedings to pour all their energies into each other. But Madonna now feels they are stable enough to press ahead with the adoption again.”

The friend said Madge “fell in love” with Mercy when they met at her orphanage last year.

However, the girl’s gran Lucy Chekechiwa, 60, said she has been asked repeatedly by officials if Mercy could be adopted by an “unidentified foreign family” — but was firmly against it.

Speaking from her village in Zomba District, Lucy said: “We know that it is Mercy who Madonna really wants. We heard it is because my granddaughter is such a beautiful, happy child.

“Twice I have told the adoption people that I do not want Mercy to go outside the country.

“But they keep on at us. Now they say that Mercy will be leaving us, but can return at age 18. Yet I might not be alive then.”

The Sun revealed how Madge, who also has daughter Lourdes, 11, and son Rocco, eight, was given permission to adopt Mercy last August — but had to stop when the girl’s uncle John Nglanade, 36, blocked the application.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have called it quits, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.

“They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now,” says a source of Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 30, who kicked off their courtship in April.

A friend of Mayer adds that a reconciliation isn’t necessarily out of the question: “He never ends things with a clean slate. He likes to dwell on these relationships and sort everything out before saying goodbye for good.”

The split was first reported Wednesday by the U.K.’s Mirror, which said the couple split earlier this week, after initially deciding to spend some time apart.

Reps for Aniston and Mayer have declined to comment.

The Spanish National Basketball team that is currently representing their country in Beijing is in some hot water for an ad running in Spain.  The ad in questions shows the members of the team using their fingers to pull their eyes back in an attempt to make them look more Chinese.

The photo, which has been running as a full-page newspaper spread in Spain since Friday, shows all 15 players making the gesture on a basketball court adorned with a Chinese dragon. The photo was part of a publicity campaign for team sponsor Seur and is being used only in Spain.

Not only was this gesture offensive and something you would never do to an a person if you were face to face the players don’t see to see the issue.

“We felt it was something appropriate, and that it would be interpreted as an affectionate gesture,” Spain point guard Jose Manuel Calderon, who plays for NBA’s Toronto Raptors, wrote on his ElMundo.es blog. “Without a doubt, some … press didn’t see it that way.”

Michael Phelps continued his gold rush Wednesday, winning two more gold medals and smashing two world records.

The wins – his 10th and 11th career golds – make him with winningest Olympian in history. As the announcer at the National Aquatics Center declared, that makes him “arguably the greatest Olympian of all time.” (The comment earned a smile from Phelps, who remained stoic for most of the day’s competition.)

The day began less than auspiciously, when Phelps’s goggles filled up with water during the 200-meter butterfly. The 23-year-old still won handily – in a world-record time of 1:52.03 – but he was visibly annoyed after he touched the wall.

“I couldn’t see anything for the last 100 [meters],” Phelps said afterward. “It just kept getting worse and worse through the race.”

Although he was disappointed in his time, Phelps begrudgingly admitted, “for the circumstances, I guess it’s not too bad.”

Actually, it got much better. Later in the day, Phelps led off the U.S. 800 freestyle relay. The team – which included Ryan Lochte, Ricky Berens and Peter Vanderkaay – won gold in under 7 minutes, with a mark of 6:58.56. (That shattered the Americans’ previous world record by 3.63 seconds.)

“It’s everything I ever dreamed about,” Phelps said of winning his second relay gold in Beijing. “On the podium, I kept tearing [up] at it. I’m almost at a loss for words …. It’s the best thing having four American guys … swim all well together.”

The gold medals give Phelps his fourth and fifth wins in China – putting him more than halfway toward his historic quest of claiming eight victories in the Games. (American swimmer Mark Spitz holds the current record of seven gold medals in a single Summer Olympics.)

“From now on, it’s just a downward slope,” Phelps said. “The end is close. I love it! I’ve still got some left in the tank.”

GONE are the days of Tom Cruise as action hero. The Scientologist – once the leading man in movies like “Top Gun,” “Days of Thunder” and “The Last Samurai” – has been replaced by Angelina Jolie as the star of Columbia Pictures’ spy thriller “Edwin A. Salt,” which will now need a new title, Variety reports.

And at 46, Cruise is thought to be too old and too expensive to star in the next “Mission Impossible” sequel. “Cruise is begging for ‘MI4,’ but Paramount wants a younger, cheaper guy,” a source told Page Six. “He had a tantrum and ran out of the meeting.”

So Cruise is turning to comedy to revive his career. He plays a fat, bald studio executive in “Tropic Thunder.” [See Lou Lumenick’s review on Page 61.] Co-star Ben Stiller told Elle that Cruise was gung-ho to join the cast: “Tom said, ‘I want to play the studio guy. I want to dance, and I want to have big hands.’ Tom was doing this little dance, and I was like, ‘This is insane. If this thing was on YouTube, it would be all over the world.’ ”

Cruise is also said to be attached to “Food Fight,” a comedy about a snooty New York chef forced to cook at a school cafeteria.

After his falling-out with Paramount boss Sumner Redstone two years ago, Cruise and his producing partner, Paula Wagner, took over United Artists, which bombed with the anti-war “Lions for Lambs.” UA’s “Valkyrie” – a $100 million drama about the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler – is also said to be a turkey, having been postponed twice and now due out in February.

“It’s assumed the UA deal with Cruise and Wagner will be coming to an end,” said our source. “They haven’t greenlit a picture other than ‘Valkyrie’ and ‘Lions for Lambs.’ ”

UA production chief Jeff Kleeman has left after only 11 months, on the heels of marketing/publicity chief Dennis Rice, who left in July. UA is down to a skeleton crew and no rep could be reached.

Las Vegas spies said the hip-hop mogul’s in talks with the Las Vegas Sands Corp. – owners of the Venetian and the Palazzo – to sell them a 50 percent stake in his sports club, 40/40, for $44 million. An insider added, “That will make the 40/40 club in Vegas the largest sports booking operation. People can gamble both at the tables and on games. The Sands will also have the right to open 40/40 clubs in London and across Europe.” A rep for 40/40 didn’t return calls.

ADAM West may be busting a move on “Dancing With the Stars.” The original “Batman,” now almost 80, is being considered for a spot on the next “Dancing” season. “Adam is in outstanding shape,” said a source. “He works out an hour a day and walks with his big dog on his farm in Sun Valley, Idaho.” A rep for West said that he is “not definite yet, but is one of the people they are seriously looking at. They will decide on everyone on Aug. 25.”

Paris Hilton didn’t do enough pledging for a 2006 sorority comedy, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Miami, alleging the 27-year-old model-actress-heiress owes $75,000 in damages for not fulfilling promotional obligations.

Hilton entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!,” according to the lawsuit. Hilton starred in the film and received credit as an executive producer.

The Miami-based concern said it paid Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million for “Hilton’s acting services” and for “reasonable promotion and publicity” for the movie, which was released in 2006 and featured Hilton as the president of an exclusive sorority.

While most famous for her tabloid exploits and reality TV series “The Simple Life,” Hilton has appeared in the films “Bottoms Up,” “The Hottie & the Nottie” and “House of Wax.”

She’s slated to next appear in the movie musical “Repo! The Genetic Opera” and the tentatively titled MTV reality series “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.”

Phone calls and e-mails to Hilton’s manager, Jason Moore, were not immediately returned Tuesday.

Boris Becker took to the seas to celebrate his engagement to his girlfriend of a month – who was just a one-year-old baby when he first conquered the Centre Court in 1985.

The couple appear to have no regrets over the decision to get married as they enjoyed an afternoon sunbathing on a speedboat.

The happy pair made no attempt at hiding their joy as Alessandra ‘Sandy’ Meyer-Woelden showed off her sparkling diamond ring.

Boris, 40, popped the question to beautiful Alessandra, 24, the daughter of his late manager Axel Meyer-Woelden, at the weekend.

He proposed to her on the island of Sardinia, Sandy said last night in Germany.

The two have been rumoured to be a pair since early this month after paparazzi caught them on the Spanish island of Formentera and later on Sardinia.

They first met when her father, Axel, was Becker’s manager. He died in 1997.

The engaged couple are set to fly to New York to plan their nuptials but they have yet to release additional details.

‘Our relationship is completely serious,’ she said.

The tennis star married Barbara Feltus in 1993 and the couple had two sons, Noah Gabriel, 14, and Elias Balthasar, 8, before the marriage ended acrimoniously in 2001.

Becker’s divorce from Barbara reportedly cost him £10 million. He gave her their £1.8 million apartment on Florida’s Fisher Island, several hundred thousand pounds worth of jewels and pays £4,000 a month in maintenance for his sons.

In 2000, he was forced to confess to fathering a daughter with Angela Ermakova after having sex in a broom closet with her in a London hotel.

He has also dated German rapper Sabrina Setlur and dancer Caroline Rocher.

‘I can’t ask every woman I fall in love with to marry me after six months.

‘Rather than cause disappointments I think it’s important to be above-board,’ Becker said during an interview in 2006.

And now, one year after an erratic and distracted Brit stormed out of an OK! photoshoot, a very different woman sits down to talk openly about her two adorable sons, her father and the future of her nearly sidetracked career.

Having spent her young life in the spotlight, the 26-year-old mother of two tells OK! that she hopes her boys choose not to choose a career in entertainment. “I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to,” she explains. “I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.

Perhaps some of Britney’s reluctance comes from seeing her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, have to face so much public scrutiny over her recent pregnancy. “I was shocked a little bit,” says Brit. “She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling.”

The pop superstar also tells OK! that she wants her boys to be close to her newborn niece. “I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie,” she says.

In an unexpected twist, Britney’s downward spiral in recent years ultimately helped to heal the bonds between the singer and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears.

“God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good,” explains Jamie, who also spoke exclusively to OK!. “If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys.”

Another positive that’s risen out of her darkest days is Britney’s new album, which she expects to hit stores in six to nine months. “I think it is more urban,” she tells OK!. “I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room… This is my best work ever.”

The Hoff’s house is for sale, but not for the price he preferred. Los Angeles Superior Court judge settled a dispute between David Hasselhoff and ex-wife Pamela Bach, putting their house on the market for $5.95 million.

Hasselhoff wanted it listed at less than $5 million; Bach thought it was worth nearly $8 million. The 10,000 square-foot spread, including two guest houses, sits on an acre and a half in Encino.

Judge Robert A. Schnider issued his ruling last week, but it was publicly released on Tuesday. Hasselhoff and Bach divorced in 2006 after 16 years of marriage.

Bach had also been seeking vacate her settlement with the former “Baywatch” star, arguing that he improperly allocated $1 million. Schnider dismissed that claim.

A music producer has sued Vanessa Hudgens for $5 million, claiming the actress and her father have repeatedly violated a contract and failed to pay him his share of her earnings.

Hudgens, one of the stars of Disney’s successful “High School Musical” series, entered into an agreement with producer Johnny Vieira when she was still a minor, the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, states. Vieira claims Hudgens and her father, Greg, sued to get out of the agreement, but have also failed to abide by settlement terms.

An e-mail message seeking comment from Hudgens’ publicist wasn’t immediately returned Tuesday morning.

Vieira is described in the lawsuit as a songwriter and music producer who was “engaged in the business of discovering and developing artists in the music industry” when he entered into an agreement with Hudgens in 2005.

That agreement, Vieira states, called for him to equally share in advances, royalties and merchandising from Hudgens’ career.

That was before she landed a starring role in “High School Musical,” which is scheduled to release its third installment later this year. She has also released a pair of solo albums.

Vieira claims an audit turned up at least two instances where he is owed money, and that Hudgens, 19, has refused to pay him.

He is also suing Greg Hudgens for defamation, claiming he sent an e-mail to others that accused Vieira of being a “predator.”

Hudgens was sued last year by a lawyer who claimed she owed him $150,000. Court records show the lawsuit was settled in January, about a month after a judge ruled that case could go to trial.

The marriage didn’t last all that long, but for the Elvis Presley faithful, the wedding day is special still. And now, Elvis fans have the official, Graceland-approved Elvis and Priscilla wedding dolls to remind them of that magical time.

“This is just another way he’s making history, and we want to be part of it,” said Angel Durham, who waited all night outside a Graceland souvenir shop to be the first to hand over $65 for a boxed set of the dolls, the newest additions to Mattel’s Barbie series.

Durham, 38, of Whitney, Texas, was at the front of about 150 Elvis fans lined up to witness the official unveiling of the dolls, staged as part of Graceland’s annual weeklong fan pilgrimage to mark the anniversary of Presley’s death on Aug. 16, 1977.

Brenda Moore of Bentonville, Ark., invested less time in getting her dolls but paid out a lot more money for a one-and-only set of dolls signed by Priscilla Presley.

Moore, 59, offered the high bid of $6,800 when the autographed box set was auctioned to the fans as a fundraiser for Presley Place, an apartment building in Memphis for homeless families.

“I was so nervous, I don’t know if I saw it really well, but I think it’s a good likeness,” Moore said. “They showed them yesterday and I looked at them online. I was planning to buy them, but never dreamed we would do this.”

Moore, a claims manager at Wal-Mart’s corporate headquarters, said she and husband Mitchell believe the money is for a good cause.

“Presley Place, where the money will go, we contribute to them every year,” she said. “Also, I want that on display in my living room in a curio cabinet.”

The dolls, with faces painted to look like Presley and his bride, were designed from photos of the wedding. The groom sports a black paisley tuxedo while the bride wears a white beaded gown and rhinestone tiara.

The couple married in Las Vegas on May 1, 1967, but had split up by early 1972. They formally separated in July 1972 and were divorced in October 1973.

Durham said she got in place Monday night to await her shot at one of the 190 boxed sets Graceland was offering with special unveiling-day stamps. The 40,000 other sets sent to retailers later this year won’t have those stamps.

Fans gathered for the unveiling were treated to slices of wedding cake and orange juice served in champagne glasses.

Mattel also issued an Elvis and Barbie doll set in the late 1990s.

Peaches Geldof has married an unknown American musician after a whirlwind romance lasting just a few weeks.

The 19-year-old tied the knot with Max Drummey in a Las Vegas wedding chapel last week.

In a statement, the couple said they were ‘delighted to announce their very happy marriage’.

The news comes as a shock, because just last month Peaches was publicly declaring her love for another man, Faris Badwan, the 21-year-old frontman of The Horrors.

But her father Bob Geldof, 56, told the Mail last night that he gave the marriage his full support adding: ‘I have nothing further to add to what has been set out in the statement.’

It is believed he did not know about the wedding until the last minute.

Critics have already branded the nuptials a publicity stunt, as Drummey’s band, Chester French, is launching its first album next month.

The statement about the wedding was littered with plugs for Mr Drummey’s band. It went on: ‘Max’s band, Chester French, played at the ITV iTunes festival (in London in June), where Peaches was a co-presenter of the show.

‘The acclaimed new Boston band were signed by Pharrell Williams to his label Star Track, a subsidiary of the giant Interscope Label. Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends.’

Peaches first met Max, 23, a Harvard graduate in anthropology, two years ago, according to her statement.

The ‘quickie’ ceremony took place last Tuesday at the Little White Wedding Chapel, with the Reverend Stephen Fabretti officiating. The couple had applied for their marriage licence at the Clark County Marriage Licence Bureau that morning.

Mr Fabretti said: ‘They both looked very young. They were cuddling and kissing and didn’t look in the slightest bit nervous. It was just them and one witness. It was one of our standard services inside the chapel.’

The Little White Wedding Chapel is world famous for its drive-through ‘quickie’ celebrity weddings. Others to have married there include Britney Spears, Joan Collins and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.

Peaches’ behaviour appears to have been spiralling out of control in recent months. In July, she was reportedly treated by paramedics after a suspected drugs overdose at her home. And earlier this year, she was videoed allegedly handing over money for drugs. She was not charged by police.

Her father has jumped to her defense in the past saying that she is a ‘good kid’ who has always done well in her school exams.

But others have expressed concern that she is going down the same route as her mother, Paula Yates, who died of an accidental drugs overdose in her Notting Hill house in September 2000.

Last night, Peaches’ publicist said she was on a flight back to Britain while her new husband continues his U.S. tour.

She has apparently been a fan of his music since they met, regularly posting notes on the band’s MySpace page.

In July they met up again when Miss Geldof, 19, presented ITV2’s coverage of the iTunes Festival.

The pair were spotted together on a night at the popular Maddox club and were later seen heading back to her North London apartment.

But until last month Miss Geldof was dating Badwan. In a recent interview, she wore a small Victorian photo frame containing a black and white portrait of him.

She said: ‘He’s completely gorgeous and I’m totally in love. He is a very calming influence and makes me happy.’

Mr Drummey graduated from Harvard in anthropology last year, but the success of Chester French – which he formed with his college roommate DA Wollach – meant he opted to pursue a career in music.

His father said last night that he was happy about the wedding.

Paul Drummey, 50, said: ‘We’re very happy for them both. We have met Peaches and we are very happy to have her as part of the family. It’s true that they married in Las Vegas last week.’
