Pamela Anderson has shocked the celebrity world today by announcing she is going to marry Kid Rock. To be honest I forgot these two were even dating and I actually forgot who Kid Rock was.

Next week, Pamela Anderson will make an honest man out of Kid Rock. The couple, now vacationing in St. Tropez, France, will marry July 29 on a yacht near the glamorous hotspot.

Kid Rock is 4 years younger than the former playmate, but he is 7 years older than her implants. There has been no word as to when there sex tape will be released, but you know it will be compared to her Tommy Lee boat trip tape. I hope Rock is up to the challenge.

My husband and I saw the movie this afternoon.  The movie did not get the best reviews but don’t let that stop you from going.  We didn’t stop giggling through the entire movie.  I even let loose a couple of belly laughs! 

Owen Wilson is one funny dude.  Kate Hudson looks amazingly beautiful as always.  The surprise of the movie for me was Michael Douglas, who plays Kate’s father in the movie.  He did a great job with the roll of the evil father!  Hey, imagine that!

This should definitely be on your summer must see list!  It was a cute movie and we loved it.  Will it win an Oscar, definitely not – but that’s also not why we went to see it!

Avril Lavigne wed Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley on Saturday afternoon at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., a source confirms to PEOPLE.

At the outdoor, non-denominational ceremony, Lavigne was walked down the aisle by her father, John, to Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” She wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The couple said their vows under an awning decorated with white flowers in front of 110 guests, including family and friends from their native Ontario.

Once the groom had kissed the bride, guests tossed rose petals at the newlyweds as they walked back up the aisle.

After the wedding, guests were to be treated to an outdoor cocktail hour before the reception, including a sit-down dinner, under a tent on the estate. In contrast to the all-white ceremony, the reception will have a red theme, with centerpieces of red roses and other flowers.

The couple’s first dance is expected to be to the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”

Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, 26, have been together for two years, and became engaged in Venice, Italy, in June 2005, while Lavigne was on the last leg of her European tour.

In late 2004 Lavigne started sporting a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter “D” on her right wrist, supposedly for her guitarist-singer-lyricist beau.

When Whibley was spotted wearing a silver band on his left ring finger earlier this year, he shot down rumors that the pair had already tied the knot, telling Teen People, “I’ve been practicing (playing guitar) with it. ? It’s fun to mess with the press.”

The bride has been especially busy these past few months. Besides preparing for the wedding and giving voice to a possum in the animated film Over the Hedge, Lavigne has a third album in the works. (Her first two albums were 2002’s Grammy-nominated Let Go and 2004’s Under My Skin.)

Of her new album, she told PEOPLE in May, “there’s going to be some love songs on there. That’s what I feel, so that’s what I’m going to end up writing.”

WORLDWIDE fury erupted last night after an Italian magazine and a paper published sickening pictures of Princess Diana??s death.

One was a photo of her lying fatally injured just after the Paris car crash.

The others were harrowing autopsy drawings detailing her wounds.

There was outrage at the shameful decision to break an unofficial international blackout on the images.  

And it came as a devastating blow to Princes William and Harry ?? seven weeks from the ninth anniversary of their mother??s death.

They were said to be ??sickened and appalled?.

The pictures appeared in Chi magazine and leading Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The black and white photo shows Diana with her head to one side as a paramedic tries to fit an oxygen mask to her face.

She is slumped in the back of the silver Mercedes in which she, Dodi Fayed, and their chauffeur Henri Paul died on August 31, 1997.

Diana??s former equerry and private secretary, Patrick Jephson, said of the pictures: ??I feel sickened and very sad.?

And her former bodyguard Ken Wharfe said: ??I feel very sad for Prince Harry and Prince William.

??We have to hope this is an isolated incident rather than the green light for magazine editors around the world.?

Clarence House, which represents Prince Charles as well as sons William and Harry, refused comment.

But a source said: ??This is appalling news. The feeling at the moment is that there is nothing that can be done from a legal position to stop these from being published.?

Dodi??s father, Harrods boss Mohammed Fayed, 77, said: ??This heartless pursuit of money brings shame on those responsible for producing such a vile publication.?

The pictures are from a previously unseen set which will be used to illustrate a book published later this month by French crime writer Jean Michel Caradec??h. It is based on the French inquiry into the crash.

The editor of Chi tried to justify his decision to print the photo last night.

Umberto Brindani, based in Milan, said: ??I published the picture for a very simple reason ?? it has never been seen before.?

Beer magnate and former Republican U.S. Senate candidate Pete Coors was arrested on a drunken-driving charge and is due to appear in court next week.

A Colorado State Patrol trooper pulled Coors over after he saw him run a stop sign around the corner from his home in Golden at 11:25 p.m. on May 28, according to Coors spokeswoman Kabira Hatland and the citations.

Coors stopped his 2004 green Jaguar in his driveway, and the trooper smelled alcohol, said State Patrol spokesman Trooper Gilbert Mares. Coors failed a field sobriety test, was placed in handcuffs and taken to the Golden Police Department jail, Mares said.

A Breathalyzer test showed he registered a 0.088, which is slightly above the 0.08 blood-alcohol limit in Colorado, Hatland said.

Coors was released from the jail nearly three hours after his arrest, Mares said. Coors was not officially booked, which usually includes fingerprinting and a mug shot, but was held until a sober driver picked him up, Mares said.

“These are common practices that they do,” he added. “He was not combative, he was cooperative, and our metro jails like to save their bed space for more serious offenders.”

Coors said he was headed home from a wedding reception in Denver.

“I should have planned ahead for a ride,” Coors said Thursday in a written statement. “For years, I’ve advocated the responsible use of our company’s products. That’s still my message, and our company’s message. I am sorry that I didn’t follow it myself.”

Coors, 59, also was cited for running the stop sign.

Actress Nia Long found herself the center of attention Friday night at L.A.’s Grove shopping center while shopping with a new beau.
The actress of “Boiler Room” and “Big Momma’s House” fame and a mystery man were on the streets of the hip shopping center when Long’s ex, Massai Z. Dorsey, ran into the pair. Apparently there’s bad blood between the guys because a street brawl broke out between Dorsey and Long’s new guy, right in the middle of the shopping center!

Sources tell TMZ that the Long’s guy friend kicked Long’s ex’s butt – hands down – leaving him lying on the street as he and Long took off running.

As Long was running, she even lost her shoe- yet didn’t seem to care. She left the shoe behind and kept running!

Long and Dorsey have a 5 year old son together named Massai Zhivago Dorsey II.

Calls to both parties’ reps were not returned.

During Montel William’s 50th birthday party the talk show host marked the milestone by proposing to his girlfriend Tara Fowler an hour before arriving to the party.

Good thing she said yes, because there’s nothing worse than getting rejected on your special day and then having to walk a red carpet event feigning happiness! Fowler was definitely not faking it as she gladly showed off her rock on their way into Pacha in New York.

Canadian rock stars Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are tying the knot this weekend, canada.com has learned.

Sources claim the couple, who has been engaged for more than a year, plans to wed in California surrounded by friends and family.

Lavigne??s parents John and Judy and siblings Michelle and Matthew have made the trip from Napanee, Ontario to Santa Barbara for the special day. Also reportedly there for the nuptials is Whibley??s mother Michelle.

The ceremony is expected to be traditional, with the bride wearing a designer white gown. The newlyweds and their guests will be able to cut loose, though, at a raucous reception that insiders claim will feature rock bands and circus performers.

Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, the 26-year-old lead singer of Sum 41, were friends for several years before they started dating in early 2004. Both had homes in Toronto but sold them and moved in to a luxury home in California.

Whibley proposed to Lavigne during her European tour last June.

Sources claim the couple moved the wedding date up by about a month because Lavigne might already be pregnant. The singer, who has said publicly she wants to have children, has reportedly been buying items for a nursery.

At her bachelorette party on June 30, Lavigne opened gifts that included handcuffs, pink 2Belles panties embroidered with ??The Mrs,? and a bra, panties and camisole set from Cherish.

Lavigne, wearing a veil with devil horns, dined with Whibley and nearly two dozen friends at L.A.??s upscale Koi before hitting Lobby nightclub.

It??s the first marriage for both.

Horses are celebrities too – or at least they are when you’re from Texas.

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (AP) — He still looks every bit the champion. Only the fiberglass casts on not one but both of Barbaro’s hind legs are indicators of something terribly wrong.

“His ears are up, he’s bright, he’s looking around,” Dr. Dean Richardson said Thursday. “If you look at this horse, it’d be hard to put him down.”

That precisely is the heartbreaking task that could be imminent because of a hoof disease so serious Richardson said the Kentucky Derby winner is “a long shot” to survive.

“It could happen within 24 hours,” Richardson said during a news conference at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center.

Richardson said Barbaro has a severe case of laminitis in his left hind leg — a painful, often fatal disease caused by uneven weight distribution in the limbs.

“If he starts acting like he doesn’t want to stand on the leg, that’s it. That will be when we call it quits,” he said.

Richardson, who has treated Barbaro since the colt suffered catastrophic injuries in the Preakness on May 20, said 80 percent of the horse’s left hoof wall was removed Wednesday with the sudden onset of the disease.

Though he looks just fine, that doesn’t reflect the true nature of his condition, termed “poor” by Richardson.

“I’d be lying if I said anything other than poor,” he said. “As long as the horse is not suffering, we are going to continue to try to save him. If we can keep him comfortable, we think it’s worth the effort.”

Barbaro is being treated aggressively with pain medication and remains in the same stall he’s been in since being brought to the intensive care unit at the George D. Widener Hospital for Large Animals.

Until his misstep at the Preakness, Barbaro’s career was nothing short of brilliant.

He won his first five starts, including the Florida Derby. His 6 1-2-length victory at the Derby was so convincing he was being hailed as the next likely Triple Crown champion — and first since Affirmed since 1978.

But seconds after the gates swung open at Pimlico, that career was cut short when the colt broke down, his right hind leg flaring out awkwardly because of three broken bones.

Race fans at Pimlico wept and within 24 hours the entire nation seemed to be caught up in a “Barbaro watch,” waiting for any news of his surgery and condition.

And for the longest time, it all seemed to be going well.

Barbaro’s first six weeks of recovery were relatively smooth — despite five hours of surgery to insert a titanium plate and 27 screws into his three shattered bones.

Each day brought more optimism: Barbaro was eyeing the mares, nickering, gobbling up his feed and trying to walk out of his stall. There was great hope Barbaro somehow would overcome the odds and live a life of leisure on the farm, although he’d always have a hitch in his gait.

Richardson, along with owners Gretchen and Roy Jackson and trainer Michael Matz, all believed the colt had a chance to recover.

Until last week, when Barbaro’s condition steadily worsened.

The colt underwent three surgical procedures and four cast changes on the injured leg, followed by a hoof wall re-section to remove 80 percent of his left rear hoof.

“I really thought we were going to make it two weeks ago,” Richardson said. “Today I’m not as confident.”

Within hours of the grim update, roses and apples began arriving at the hospital, and hundreds of get-well e-mail messages were posted on a Web site set up by the New Bolton Center.

The vet didn’t mince words: “It’s as bad a laminitis as you can have. It’s as bad as it gets.

He said he has discussed the situation closely with the Jacksons, who have stressed that their main concern is for Barbaro to be pain free.

Several telephone messages left for the Jacksons and Matz were not returned.

Richardson said Barbaro’s injured right hind leg was healing well, but because a horse has to be evenly balanced to carry his weight, laminitis set in on the other foot. Secretariat, the 1973 Triple Crown, was euthanized due to laminitis in 1989.

“The reason we cut away the hoof wall is because the hoof wall is not connected” to the bone, he said. “If you had a nail that was separated from the end you’d pull it off. It’s dead tissue that’s in the way of living tissue.”

Richardson said it would take several months for the hoof to grow back, and as long as six months to be completely healed.

“What we’re doing on this horse is absolutely unusual, but it’s not unheard of,” he said. “It’s a devastating problem in horses that nobody has a solution to.”

Barbaro has been fitted with a sling to prevent sudden movements and allow him to shift his weight from side to side. The main goal is comfort.

“The sling is on only some of the day, when it’s off, he can lie down,” Richardson said. “We are not torturing this horse.”

Edgar Prado, the jockey credited with saving Barbaro by quickly pulling him up in the Preakness, was devastated by the grim prognosis.

“It’s very upsetting,” he said. “Barbaro has shown to everyone what a fighter he is. He showed it on the track and with all the surgeries he’s had. It just goes to show what kind of courage he has. He’s a true champion, and is fighting every step of the way.

“All we can do now is hope and pray. We’ll need a miracle, but maybe it will happen.”

Ashlee Simpson has admitted that she is not as pure as her sister Jessica was before she got married.

In turning down a lucrative offer from Playboy magazine Ashlee revealed some interesting information. ..she wants to save her body for her boyfriend BRAXTON OLITA. Despite the staggering offer, the singer says she was reluctant to share herself with millions of male readers. She says, “My body is for me and my love interest, and that’s the only person who gets to see it.”

If you notice she stated her “love interest” and not anyone by name.  Thus you can only make the next logical step that if she likes you she is gonna get naked and show you the goods!  I mean Jessica was jealous of her boobs so you can only imagine what she is working with.  Not bad that after her acid reflux incident on SNL that she is commanding $4 million offers.  If she is at the mansion with Justin I bet he gets to be a love interest for a night.

The television station’s Web site says Allen Heckard filed the suit against His Airness and Nike founder Phil Knight on June 29 in county court, claiming to have been mistaken for the basketball legend nearly every day for the past 15 years.

And he’s tired of it.

“I’m constantly being accused of looking like Michael and it makes it very uncomfortable for me,” Heckard reportedly said.

Heckard apparently is suing Jordan for defamation and permanent injury, emotional pain and suffering. He is suing Knight for defamation and permanent injury for promoting Jordan and making him one of the world’s most famous athletes.

Heckard, who stands slightly taller than 6 feet, says many people miss the fact that he is roughly six inches shorter than Jordan.

But Heckard bears a physical resemblance to Jordan because he has a shaved head, an earring in his left ear, and is in good physical shape ?? from playing basketball.

“Even when I go to the gym I’m being accused of playing ball like him (Jordan),” Heckard said.

Wouldn’t most people consider that a compliment?

“Yes, don’t get me wrong it’s definitely a positive thing, because Michael, like I say is one of the best ball players that I’ve known to play the game. But then again, that’s Michael and I’m me. So I want to be recognized as me just like Michael’s being recognized as Michael.”

The television station apparently caught Heckard wearing blue Air Jordan tennis shoes.

Is Heckard trying to look like Jordan?

No.

“They’re very comfortable shoes to play ball in,” said Heckard. “I play a lot of basketball and any other shoes I try to play in tend to hurt the bottom of my feet.”

What made Heckard decide to file suit against Jordan and Knight for $416 million each?

“Well, you figure with my age and you multiply that times seven and then I turn around and I figure that’s what it all boils down to.”

J’s Grill in Arlington, Texas, is not where teens go to fill up on burgers, but where they fill their mouths with bling. And the school board wants to stop them from wearing the hardware to school in an updated dress code that would also ban the “gauging” practice of poking increasingly larger objects through their earlobes. Apparently the board of ed has adjusted to tattoos and green hair. But the kids figure it’s just a form of expression and since they (or someone sick of the nagging) paid as much as $3,000 to get what is essentially a set of dentures, they should totally be allowed to wear them. “Really, a grill is just like an earring,” said one, not realizing the futility of that argument. But school officials said it was about teaching the students that life has regulations. “We want to instill in them a sense of modesty and a sense of community.” Good luck with that.
